Brain Food,Brain Poisons: Autism as a case in Point

Igor Tabrizian
Western Australian Author

Based on a lecture presented by author Dr Igor Tabrizian this book explains and illustrates how clinical nutritionists examine causative mechanisms and formulate treatment schedules for Austism.
Examining the roles of important nutrients like Zinc, Copper, Amino Acids, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin C, in normal human development, the lecture looked at normal brain function with regards to nutritional needs of the mother and child. It examined the importance of tissue co-operation such as hormones, gut and brain in ensuring correct development of all tissues in the growing child.
In particular Tabrizian looks at where brain function goes wrong and more importantly why this is happening as a global epidemic. He examines the roles of genetics and antioxidants in the prevention and treatment of Autism and looked at the roles of toxic metals in the genesis of the disease and how these generate the symptoms of Autism.
